To support your Subclass 190 Visa application, you must provide documents verifying your claims in the Expression of Interest (EOI) and demonstrating that you meet the eligibility criteria. Below is a detailed checklist of the documents required.

General Document Requirements (For All Applicants)

All applicants included in the Subclass 190 Visa application must submit the following:

  • Identity Documents: Passport, birth certificate, or proof of name change (e.g., marriage or divorce certificate).
  • Marital Status Proof: If married, widowed, divorced, or permanently separated, provide relevant documents (e.g., marriage, divorce, or death certificates, or separation documents).
  • Police Certificates: Overseas police certificates from any country where you have lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (since turning 16), along with any military service records or discharge papers.
  • Passport-Sized Photographs.

For Primary Applicants

Primary applicants must provide the following:

  • Academic certificates and transcripts.
  • Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) and course completion letter for courses completed in Australia.
  • English language test results (IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL, OET).
  • Professional Year certificate (if applicable).
  • NAATI certification (if applicable).
  • Evidence of any specialist qualifications.
  • Skills Assessment outcome letter.
  • Professional registration or license certificate (if required).
  • Employment reference letters, along with supporting documents such as payslips, bank statements, tax records, and superannuation details.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé, covering full employment and educational history over the past 10 years.
  • Proof of residency in a ‘Designated Regional Area’ of Australia, if applicable, through ID and evidence of the family member’s residence.

For Spouse or De facto Partner

Spouse or de facto partners must provide:

  • English language test results (if claiming partner English points).
  • Skills Assessment outcome letter (if claiming partner skilled occupation points).
  • Marriage certificate, or evidence of a de facto relationship (e.g., registration of the relationship by an Australian State or Territory or proof of cohabitation for at least 12 months before application).

Note: All documents must be provided in color PDF format. If a document is not in English, an authorized translated version must be included.

State-Specific Document Requirements for 190 Visa Australia

South Australia (SA)

Applicants seeking state nomination from South Australia must provide:

  • Bank statements showing salary and expenses for the work experience period.
  • Proof of residence, such as lease agreements, utility bills, or vehicle registration.
  • Evidence of continuous residency if applying as a ‘Long Term Resident of South Australia’ (e.g., residency, work experience, qualifications, or visa grant notices).
  • For the ‘Highly Skilled and Talented Stream’, submit a CV, employment contract, and a job offer (if onshore).

Victoria (VIC)

For applicants working in Victoria, the following must be submitted:

  • Employment contract.
  • Payslips (most recent four weeks).
  • Superannuation statement.
  • Position description.

Western Australia (WA)

Applicants must provide a contract of employment for full-time work in their nominated or closely related occupation for at least six months.

New South Wales (NSW)

If residing in Australia, you must show proof of residence in NSW for the last six months, such as:

  • Lease agreement.
  • Bank statements.
  • Utility bills.
  • Job contract or payslips.
  • License or registration details.

Queensland (QLD)

For state nomination from Queensland, applicants must provide:

  • Evidence of full-time post-qualification employment (minimum 35 hours per week) in the nominated occupation for the past six months, along with proof that the job will continue for at least 12 months.
