Additional work rights for international students in Australia

International student can now work additional hours during the Covid-19 crisis. Many supermarkets are increasing staff numbers to keep shelves stocked. Students are only allowed to work 40 hours per fortnight. However to help students earn and help the supermarkets keep their shelves stocked the government has allowed students to work 40 hours per week.
Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Alan Tudge said the changes would help supermarkets meet the immediate high demand.
